Sponsor Spotlight II: Royal Milk Tea

Hi readers, Lyndall of Royal Milk Tea will share with us a favorite place of hers. Go ahead and check out her introductory spotlight below too.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Mortlock Wing of the State Library of South Australia. I love to go on longer adventures to bigger places, but sometimes it is nice to do a little exploring close to home :) As a librarian, I love visiting other libraries. The Mortlock Wing is a beautiful old building which houses the original public lending library collection, as well as the old furniture from when the State Library was built.

Sponsor Spotlight II: Whiskey Shores

Now for the second spotlight on Whiskey Shores. Hannah did some weaving while at school check out the pictures and what she has to say about it below.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I spent quite a bit of time weaving in school and recently acquired my very own!

1. the loom I used at school
2. an in-progress weaving I did last spring
3. bleaching & dying the yarn before I put it on the loom (that right there was the biggest thing I ever made 27" wide and about 6-7' long!)

Weaving takes a lot of planning and patience, but it's so satisfying to create a piece of fabric out of practically nothing.

Sponsor Spotlight II: Giveable Greetings

Hi again lovely readers, now Steph from Giveable Greetings shares a favorite place with us. (I love this photo to pieces!) Don't forget to visit her shop and check out all the super cute cards she's created.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fontenelle Restaurant - a cozy, retro, awesome diner in Ottawa. My brother used to live there and I'd force him to come to breakfast with me at this place. Everything about it is stuck in time, just the way I love it.

Sponsor Spotlight I: Giveable Greetings

Hello lovely readers, today's sponsor spotlight is on Steph of Giveable Greetings. Please check out her shop and her inspiring story below on how she came to be the owner of Giveable Greetings.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Giveable Greetings was started by Steph ~ a stationery-obsessed graphic designer who has an insatiable need to illustrate puns and put them to paper. Though originally studying to be a forensic psychologist, Steph did a sporadic 180 and instead went to school for 2d animation (you know, the hand-drawn kind), an industry in which she was employed for several years before realizing that she preferred to work with images that didn't move.
Currently working as a freelance illustrator / web & graphic designer / children's book artist, and hobbyist photographer, Steph began Giveable Greetings as a side project for her more quirky, vintage- and retro-inspired art. Sure, giving cards isn't such a hot and trendy thing to do anymore, but once upon a time vinyl records weren't so cool either and look at them now! Surely all things analogue and manual will continue to make a comeback, and hopefully the slowly dying art of handwritten correspondence will experience a resurgence in popularity.
Steph's cards can be found for sale at the Outer Layer in Toronto, Ontario, as well as online here or on etsy here. She has plans to branch out in incorporate more prints, invitations, gift tags and other fun, paper-y things in her collection.
Please pop by and check out Giveable Greetings: Quirky & fun with a dash of sass & a lot of pun.
