Inspired To Sew: Billowy Butterfly Fabric

I took a trip to JoAnne Fabrics a few days ago. Sometimes I go there with no real plan except to just look at all the fabrics and craft items. I decided to take photos of any fabrics that I liked. I really want to make some clothing, especially since this month marks Sew September! I just tend to buy fabric and find uses for it later, which can sometimes be bad for my wallet. Instead of going in with an idea of what type of clothing I wanted to make I based my idea around the fabric first. I think that this is a much better approach and elliminates buying fabric that I am ultimately unhappy with. When I was looking at Elizabeth's blog, Delightfully Tacky, I loved this outfit that she was sporting, especially the flowy top from Ruche.
Originally I was thinking that the flowy butterfly fabric could be a cute billowy oversized vest but after seeing this photo I really want to make a similar top. What do you think? I would love to hear what you have to say.

I've taken a handful of fabric photos so look forward to other similar posts.
Thanks for stopping in! I appreciate your company!
